Mary Ann Madden went to heaven on February 28, 2021 at the age of 55. Mary Ann was the youngest of seven children born to Betty and Harold Madden in Houston, Texas.

Being the only daughter, she was adored by her six brothers and was always making the family laugh with her funny antics. Like the time she snuck away and put on one of her brother's Boy Scout uniform and suddenly appeared to everyone's delight. She always loved to participate with her brothers in sports, whether it was shooting baskets or hitting a baseball. She also shined at the Special Olympics, especially when she singlehandedly beat three boys in the tug of war.

She loved pepperoni pizza and chocolate chip pancakes. She also was a clever Uno player who liked nothing more than beating her brothers, nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann attended The Center, Spring Branch Elementary, Spring Woods and Westchester High Schools. She then moved to Willow River Farms, in San Felipe, Texas, where she resided for over 20 years. She spent her final years at Grace Care of Katy, Texas. Mary Ann was very blessed to have so many giving and thoughtful teachers, caregivers, nurses, doctors and aides, who all took great care of her. Of course, they always told us they were lucky to know Mary Ann, with her infectious smile and with her perfect comedic timing, she was always known to say, "Here goes nothing!"

Mary Ann is truly an angel who will always be looking over our shoulders and be in our hearts and minds.

Mary Ann was proceeded in death by her parents, Betty Lou and Harold (Bud) Daniel Madden, and her brother Peter.

She is survived by her brothers Dan, John, Rich, David and Patrick and sister-in-laws Penny, Kathy, Janna, Melanie and Debe. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Robert, Meredith, Tyson, Sunny, Jacob, Brie-Anna, Shey, Michael, Tyler and Sean, and a multitude of grandnieces and grandnephews.

The family will have a private ceremony at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary Ann's honor to thecenterforpursuit.org.
