Sheila died March 24, 1984, seven days after her 20th birthday, in a tragic car accident that also took the life of her boyfriend. Sheila was a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin and a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Her roommates at the time were long-time high school friends, Stephanie Middlebrook, Ellen Smith and Polly Utz.
