Kent Richard Kadell

Kent Richard Kadell, 60, passed away peacefully at home on December 10, 2018. A visitation was held Saturday January 26, 2019 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in Houston.

Kent was born October 14, 1958 in Houston to Mary Louise and Albert R. (Bert) Kadell. Raised in Houston he graduated from Westchester High School and entered Blinn College studying Criminal Justice. He served honorably as a Deputy Constable for Harris County Precinct 5 then had a long career in the trucking business. He first drove big rigs cross country, later was a route driver for Love’s in Texas, next for KBR in Iraq during the war, and was driving for Firebird in George West at the time of his death. Kent was an avid hunter, enjoying time at his deer lease in South Texas. He traveled widely, especially in Asia and South America.

He was predeceased by his father Bert, survived by his mother Mary Louise of Houston; brother Kerry Kadell and his spouse Jason Bickel of Houston; sister Elaine Baker and her spouse Don Bersch of Redmond, Washington; sister Kathleen Ehlert and her husband Van Ehlert of Dripping Springs, Texas. He was uncle to three nieces and two nephews; three grandnieces and one grandnephew.
