Comments:
I grauduated from U of H and started my career as a copywriter in advertising. Then when the first gas crisis hit (remember that?) and so many jobs in Houston were affected...I lost my job. I finally had to search outside of Houston and that's how I landed in Austin.
I worked a few more years in advertising and then by a series of events, wound up in the meeting planning industry.
I worked for the Austin Convention Center for a little over 20 years, retired and now work full time for the Texas Municipal League. I basically handle association management and plan 3 conferences a year.
I retired in July 2023 but I still have some contract work to complete this year and next.
