Father. Physician. Friend.

Lewis A Leavitt III, MD of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on September 17, 2021, after a lengthy illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis A Leavitt, MD and Lorraine Hartung Leavitt. He leaves behind his three children, Lewis A Leavitt IV and wife, Lindsay; Christopher J. Dr. Leavitt spent his life serving and healing others as an accomplished and respected emergency medicine physician. Such was his greatest passion. Aside from his profession, he enjoyed sports cars, fly fishing, exploring the outdoors, and spending time around the ocean. His children fondly recall their father’s fast cars, loud rock music, and time spent together on the water. His ashes will be spread along the North Shore of Oahu, among the waves and waters he dearly loved.

So sorry to hear about Lewis's passing, I lived down the street from him while I attended Westchester. He was a great person; so fun of life and energy. Always had a smile on his face. I can remember one time he over filled their pool and invited a bunch of us over to perform cannon ball jumps to lower the water level before his parents returned home. I have thought of Lewis many times over the years. Condolences to his family.
