School Story:

the day we tried to get Joseph Henry Clement to put his hair in curlers for our presentation of the life of the poet, Percy Bysse Shelley in the 11th grade English class...taking my paper mache Wildcat mascot to all the football games because i had had a surgery the summer before freshman year and could not yell. Lorna Megan Delancy helped me carry it through the grandstands because she had also had a surgery and could not yell...being so old, i have quite a few memories, and they are getting clearer and more numerous....

I am afraid that what I remember of Mr Figari was that parents called him 'criminally insane'.... I am working on kind words to say. I did kiss him at graduation as he handed me the diploma, mostly because of the irony. Still seeking the photographic evidence. (There are so many of us - I am H, the remaining pile of diplomas on that table are only a portion of only one night of our two-night graduation ceremonies)

To Mr Figari's credit, I DO think it was his obsessive enforcement of the dress code that taught me that injustices MUST be corrected at the highest level - if justice is to prevail, unfair laws must be changed.

Larry passed away in California under his nom de plume, Nick West.

I remember Clay - he pulled my hair in geometry class one day, and I apologise for hitting him back. Sorry, Clay... and for the trouble we got into. Thanks for the tribute, James. Our hearts and our fond memories are where our friends carry on.

Hello, fellow traveler!

I have found that the 'getting to know you' part of this later and now has been more fun than our high school years. Now our experiences have softened the differences and warmed the similarities in our lives. Come to a reunion and let us get to meet you again.

Phil was perhaps the most enthusiastic supporter of a recent art project I had undertaken. In dedicating the work to Phil Mattalino's memory, I am sure Phil would want to encourage more people to dream big and go for their goals. It is a great sadness to me that Phil did not see the project finished. HIs encouragement throughout the planning process was a real boost daily and weekly. His passing is a tremendous loss. I miss his cheerful, positive comments. ...cannot thank him enough...

This is the outfit Son Kimball designed and Mom Candace made for his Senior Prom...2005. The man wearing it has just graduated February 2008 from Collins College with a fabulous GPA and a degree in Game Design. He is already working in the gaming industry, but would love to be in a more creative capacity. HIRE HIM!

We usually have the Llamas in the Parades for Christmas. In spite of the beautiful day pictured here, there was a 400 lb. cake of ice on the trailer that usually appears in the parades and carries the llamas...but undaunted, we went without them.('07)

Magical Flag is Kimball's llama. They use the same hair dresser. In this picture 'Flag has just been sheared for the summer. He is alot fluffier in the Christmas parades. http://www.themadhouseartists.com/Magical_Flag.php

Sir Charle is our lead Llama. He looks foreward to the parades where he usually pulls the llama cart and this week he is pacing around expecting to be loaded into the trailer so he can participate in this year's Christmas parades. (12-1-08) http://www.themadhouseartists.com/sir_charle.php

2013 was a surprise. Through United States Artists Projects money was donated from friends and family to mount this mural on the exterior wall of our studio. As of this writing, materials are being collected and the project is well under way.
