It is with great sadness to inform you that Beverly Baker passed away on  January 3, 2008.

BEVERLY ZAN BAKER Beverly was the eldest of four sisters. She was born in Dalhart, Texas on July 31, 1953, to Mildred and Zane Baker. She spent her childhood in Shreveport, Louisiana, Caracas, Venezuela, London, England and finally Houston, Texas.

Beverly graduated from Westchester High School, received a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston. Her early career was spent at Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline Company and First City National Bank. In 1988 Beverly joined Tondu Corporation as a Managing Partner. Highlights of her career include the completion of the Filer City Power Plant in Michigan and the Williams Lake Power Plant in British Columbia, Canada.

Family was the mainstay of Beverly's life. She was the ultimate sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Beverly was beautiful; she brought life and liveliness to her family and friends. She loved bringing good friends, good food and good music together, lighting up any gathering with her laughter and smile. Her passion was travel. She enjoyed trips all over the world with her family, friends and for business. Beverly led by example with her determination, tenacity and love for those close to her. We loved her dearly and will miss her.

Beverly is survived by her parents Mildred and Zane Baker, sister, Sandy Huntsinger and husband Bill Huntsinger, sister, Lydia Baker and sister, Lisa Brimberry and husband David Brimberry. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Bethany Brimberry, Audrey Brimberry, Jared Brimberry, Chris and Dana Huntsinger, Jenni and Phil Sinitiere and Tara and Joseph Pfeiffer.

A memorial service will be held at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, on Monday, January 7, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to M.D. Anderson's Targeted Radiowave Therapy Fund Account 8/12561 at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Mack McCormick (1970)

I remember Beverly and I had a class together, but I don't recall what class.  She was chearful, polite, freindly and always seemed to have a nice smile on her face.  I'm sorry to learn of her passing.  RIP
