John Edward Zimmerman, II

August 18, 1953 - April 9, 2005

JOHN E. ZIMMERMAN, II (August 18, 1953), owner of Zimmerman Dewatering, Inc. was tragically lost in a boating accident off the Galveston coast on April 9, 2005. He was an avid outdoor sportsman.

A private family celebration of his life will be held at the home of his mother, Patricia Todd on April 8, 2006. Prayers and spiritual blessings will be offered by Father Rudy Sanchez of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

John is survived by his mother: Patricia Todd, his children: Amanda, John W. II, Daniel and James, his sisters: Louise Newton Locke (Robert), Sue Zimmerman Collins (Ross),and Carol Zimmerman, his brother: Eric Zimmerman, his nephews: Jeffrey Mouakket (Nazzie), Norman Ritch II, and Christopher Collins, his niece: Holly Ghanni, his uncle: Ralph Galloway, and John's loving companion, Barbara Knight.

Our family gratefully acknowledges those who assisted in the search including: Tim Miller ( Texas EquuSearch), Lt. Scott Parkhurst (U.S. Coast Guard), John Garver, Ross Perot, Rep. Tom Delay, Theresa Garza, Varner Teel, Texas Gulf Coast Search and Rescue Services, Surfside Bridgeboat Marina employees, and numerous dedicated volunteers.
