James "Jimmy" Trevor Willhite

October 4, 1954 - March 21, 2008

 

JAMES "JIMMY" WILLHITE, a community and civic leader for many years in Grimes County, passed away peacefully on Friday March 20, at his home in Plantersville, Texas. Jimmy was a devoted husband, son, stepfather, and brother. A loyal friend to many. 

He is survived by his wife, Heidi Willhite, his mother, Donna Willhite, his siblings, Tampra Pierson, Jon Willhite, and Traci McMinn, and their spouses. He also leaves behind three stepchildren, Michael, Samantha, and Brooke, daughter in law Bret, granddaughter Hailey, his nephews John Pierson, JP Willhite, Nicholas Willhite, and his only niece, Taylor Willhite.

Jimmy was a man of incredible heart and soul, with generosity of spirit evident in the manner in which he lived his life. A gifted guitarist, he enjoyed hunting, was an excellent marksman, and a talented and accomplished businessman. Involved in numerous civic minded causes, he was primarily acting as an advocate for law enforcement officers. Jimmy was regional director of 100 club, and Crime Stoppers in Grimes county, and an active supporter of the Republican Party.

Memorial Services are at 11 AM Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Nobles Funeral Chapel, 402 E. Blackshear, Navasota, TX 936-825-7776, reception immediately following at the Townhall in Plantersville, TX. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Jimmy Willhite to Grimes County Crime Stoppers at 936-873-2000, or the 100 Club of Houston at 713-952-0100, both of which Jimmy was passionate about.
