Michael C. Anderson of Seattle, Wash. died Dec, 17 2006, after a short but courageous battle of cancer.
Born on Oct. 23, 1951, in Petrolia, Ont. Canada. He was the son of the late Mardie M. Anderson and William J. Anderson of Houston, Texas. Michael's early childhood was spent in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Early to mid-teens in Montoursville, where he attended Montoursville H.S. Moving with the family in 1968 to Houston, Texas, he graduated from Westchester High School class of 1969. He attended Huntsville College.
Michael's career started as an oil rigger off the coast of Galveston, Texas. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, proudly serving for eight years. Most of his time while in the service was spent in Spain and Korea.
Returning to Houston he then worked in the accounting Dept. for Cliff Drilling. For last 13 years he has been the controller/CEO of LSI in Seattle Wash. Michael enjoyed reading, skiing, fishing in Alaska, and golf.
Surviving besides his father, is his long time companion Soonja Yoon, many nieces and nephews, bother and sisters. Norman (Vera), Montoursville, Colette, Denver Colo., Kathy, Houston, Texas., Marylee (Jeff) Becker, Houston, Texas., Darrell (Donna), Dover, N.H., and Robert, Houston, Texas. He will be sorely missed by all.
Military services will be held Friday Dec. 29, at Tahoma National Cemetery. The family will provide flowers.
