ASSISTANT POLICE CHIEF MICHAEL L. PATTERSON 1953 - 2005
MICHAEL L. PATTERSON passed away June 22, 2005 in College Station, TX. He was born in Houston, TX, April 2, 1953. He worked for the Texas A & M University Police Department before joining the College Station Police Department as a Peace Officer in 1978. Michael was promoted to Sergeant in September of 1979, as Lieutenant in June of 1980, and as Major in July of 1992. He was then promoted as Assistant Police Chief in July of 2001 and held this position until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Patterson of College Station; his parents, Leland and Mary Lou Patterson of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Jude Patterson of Kingston, NY, and numerous other family members.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at A & M Consolidated High School Auditorium. In lieu of flowers a Scholarship fund has been set up in Michael's name. Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station, Texas (979) 694-8615
