Tribute by Mark Moore  8/15/15
A true friend and good person. They did "makem" any better. Played hand ball and football (street football, handball) for hours after school with Craig . Craig was an Aggies Aggie! Sang the praises of Texas A&M . A Christan all his life. I recently discovered his passing. My thoughts are with the family and his mom.

Raymond “Craig” Johnson passed away on June 7, 2014. He was born on September 16, 1953 in Richmond, Virginia, and moved to Houston, Texas in 1967. Craig was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Edward Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Annette Mattern Johnson, children Cullin Edward Johnson, Taylor Jane Johnson and Conner William Johnson, his mother, Demetria Cullinan Johnson and his sister, Kristie Johnson Trice.

If you knew anything about Craig, you knew that he was an Aggie through and through, and that he loved his family more than anything in the world. Craig attended Texas A&M beginning in the fall of 1971. He served in E2 of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets, Reveille’s outfit.
Craig spent most of his career working as a recruiter in the oil and gas industry, but his true focus was always on his family. Craig met the love of his life at a New Years Eve party in Houston, Texas. They fell in love and were married for 25 years. They dedicated their life to raising 3 beautiful, talented children: Cullin (21), Taylor (19) and Conner (15).

Although Craig hated flying, he traveled extensively around the world - from Lake Tahoe, NM to London, England and many places in between. He also had a passion for sports, baseball being his favorite. He coached his nephew, Nicholas, in T-ball and worked side-by-side with his son, Cullin, throughout his baseball career.

One of Craig’s hidden talents was dancing, especially when his daughter, Taylor, was involved. You can find videos of him on YouTube strutting his stuff with Taylor at a Stratford High School football game or on stage with her at the Spartanaire Spring Show.

Craig shared a love of video games with his son, Conner, and encouraged Conner to create his own video game. They also loved hitting golf balls together at Top Golf.
