Irl Raymond Walker III obituary

Irl Raymond Walker III was born on September 16, 1950 and passed away November 16, 2010.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother: Maida Mickle Walker and is survived by his endearing father: Irl Raymond Walker, Jr.; his children: Meredith Walker and Sean Carlisle, and their mother Beth Bullock; his sisters: Maida Price and Becky Timmis and their extended families.

He was a lifelong Houston resident spending the majority of his life as a sales rep for John T. Everett and later his own company Walker/Williams. Irl was an old school salesman exemplifying dependability and customer service. His honesty, integrity and dedication earned him the respect and loyalty of those with whom he did business. He attended Memorial High School and Southwestern University in Georgetown where he was a proud member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He transferred to Sam Houston State where he graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice.

He dearly loved his family and friends with everyone knowing he would always be there for them. He was the ultimate unselfish giver opening up his home and heart to friends in need. He was a mentor to many and always wanted to take care of those he loved. The earth has lost an angel, but there is no doubt that on November 16th, Irl received his wings.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11:00 am at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.

A celebration of Irl's life will be held at a separate location following the service.

Irl was an animal lover.  Donations can be made to your local humane society.
