Craig Glen Cawley

July 16, 1949 - August 13, 2012

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Craig Cawley a long time employee of Marcus Oil & Chemical in Houston Texas.

Prior to joining Marcus Oil & Chemical, Craig worked for Rig Runner (1985-2000).  In  2000 he started with Marcus Oil as General Manager for the Houston, Texas based corporation. Craig was responsible for various activities at Marcus Oil & Chemical including logistics, and compliance.

Mr Cawley  was born in 1949 in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Texas as a youth when his family was relocated by Exxon. Craig recently celebrated his 63d birthday on July 16, 2012 (birthday picture to the right). He resided in Houston, Texas with his mother Jackie Cawley. Craig passed away in the early morning of August 13, 2012 in Houston after battling illness for several months.

Mr. Cawley is survived by his mother and sister-in-law.

The Memorial Service for Craig will be held Friday, August 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of D.M. Dettling Funeral Directors, 14094 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77079.  

Craig G. Cawley, born in Chicago, IL July 16, 1949, passed away peacefully Monday, August 13, 2012 in Houston. Craig is survived by his mother, Jackie Cawley; sister-in-law Victoria Cawley and uncle, William Cawley. Craig enjoyed speed boats, hunting, fishing, and motorcycles. He was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed classical, Scott Joplin Ragtime, waltzes and marches. Craig was quite mechanically inclined and during his long career in the oil and gas industry worked for such prestigious firms as Rig Runner, and Marcus Oil & Chemical, where he was General Manager. Craig was responsible for various activities at Marcus Oil & Chemical including logistics, and compliance. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating Craig's life will be held Friday, August 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of D.M. Dettling Funeral Directors, 14094 Memorial Drive @ Kirkwood in Houston.
