KATHY LEIGH LAWS, born on September 24, 1964 in Winter Park, Florida and entered eternity peacefully February 9, 2009. She fought a courageous battle from early childhood with acute pancreaticus and diabetes. She was confirmed at St. Martin's Episcopal Church and her happiest times were when she shared her life in Christ though service to others.
After attending Westchester High School and Houston Community College her career included modeling and outside sales. She was an active member of AA for 10 years.
Kathy is survived by her only son Marc, who was the light of her life, her parents Katie and Bev Laws, and her siblings and their spouses, Lauranne and Bill Humphreys, Charlie Laws, Rea and Debbie Laws and Janie Laws Wood, as well as several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday February 12, 2009 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A Memorial service and reception will be held at St. Martin's Episcopal Church at 2:00 PM on Friday February 13, 2009.
Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Southeast Texas 2400 Augusta Dr. Houston, Texas 77057 or Donations to the Westchester Alumni Association may be made in her Honor.
