Scott died on September 25, 1994, at the age of 42. I attended his memorial service on October 23, 1994, along with Rick Vallone, Becky Clarke Cowart, and Debbie Mathis Casey. Pat and Juli Fahey held a Celebration of Life at their home in Copperfield afterwards, but I was unable to attend. It was all very surreal, as Scott definitely would have called a party had he known we would come together that day. To me, there had always been a hint of "quiet desperation" about Scott; he was a great planner of parties and he partied hard, as if to keep the demons at bay. God rest his soul.

As Sharmin says in her comments, Scott was indeed a man that enjoyed a good party and he hosted many. Scott always had a great sense of humor and smile on his face. We also enjoyed some great poker games during the old school days. I always considered Scott a friend and he is still missed.
